Scalping in soft drinks

Scalping in soft drinks

Soft drinks packaging can sometimes lead to the packaging material interacting with the flavour constituents of the beverage (known as scalping). This can result ultimately in the flavour losses or transfer of for example plastic flavours and the overall quality of the product falling.

A consequence for the soft drinks industry is investing large amounts of money in order to rectify this problem. We show how our instrument the FlavourSpec can provide a solution.
