Grant Highlight: TOXI-Triage

Imspex Diagnostics was a funded partner in the EU Horizon TOXI-Triage programme, a major European initiative focused on improving response capability during chemical and toxic exposure incidents. The project brought together emergency responders, research organisations and technology developers to advance faster, field-deployable triage and detection tools.

Through TOXI-Triage, Imspex’s GC-IMS technology platform was validated for rapid, on-site screening using non-invasive sampling, supporting real-time decision-making at the point of need. The programme included large-scale field exercises and simulated incident environments, demonstrating how portable analytical technology can be deployed without traditional laboratory infrastructure to support emergency services, civil protection and defence teams.

Participation in TOXI-Triage reinforces Imspex’s track record in securing and delivering competitive international grant funding while moving innovation into operational settings. It provided independent validation of our platform in high-pressure scenarios and strengthened our position in defence, security and critical-incident response markets.
