Online detection of Siloxanes in Biogas

There has been widespread use of siloxanes for hygiene, healthcare and industrial products. This has resulted in the presence of these siloxanes in landfills and food waste streams which is used as source for biogas fuel production. Silicon crystals are produced during combustion in the gas turbines, without filtering these crystals they can settle on the surfaces and damage the interior equipment.

The GC-IMS SILOX allows a quick and easy in-situ monitoring of the low ppb levels of siloxanes in biogas.
